Accessibility Services

Accessibility support at JCC

The Accessibility Services office at Jamestown Community College is dedicated to ensuring access to qualified students with disabilities permitting them to earn grades and engage in academics and activities that reflect their abilities – not their disabilities. You can access services and accommodations for placement testing, assistive technology, alternatively formatted textbooks, animal guidance, elevator use, handicapped parking, and voting.

Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and the Americans with Disabilities Act states that qualified students with disabilities be allowed full participation in the same programs, services, and activities available to non-disabled students. It is the college’s responsibility to provide reasonable accommodations to support students and fulfill these acts.

Website accessibility

Jamestown Community College is committed to providing a website that is accessible to all users. We are actively working to increase the accessibility and usability of our website in accordance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) through the Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI) of the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). We use the WCAG as our standard for accessibility and compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act.

We are continually seeking out solutions that will improve website accessibility. If you experience any difficulty in accessing the Jamestown Community College website, please contact us at marketing@mail.v-lanterna.com.
